How MailerLite and Google Sheets connect
MailerLite does not offer a built-in Google Sheets sync. Its Google Sheets listing names the same eight connection platforms as for Airtable, including Zapier and Make. The listing describes one use: updating rows when a subscriber's information changes, an email bounces or a spam complaint arrives.
You can also go the other way and turn new rows into subscribers, but that is a different workflow with a different trigger. Pick the direction before you open the connector.

| Direction | Starts when | Then does |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet to MailerLite | New Spreadsheet Row, New or Updated Spreadsheet Row, or Updated Spreadsheet Row | Create or Update Subscriber, Add Subscriber to Group, Remove Subscriber From Group, Unsubscribe Subscriber |
| MailerLite to sheet | Subscriber Created, Subscriber Added to Group, Subscriber Unsubscribed, Subscriber Bounced, Spam Complaint, Subscriber Fields Updated, Campaign Sent | Create Spreadsheet Row, Update Spreadsheet Row, Lookup Spreadsheet Row, Find or Create Row |
The New Spreadsheet Row trigger fires when a row is added to the bottom of the sheet. Rows inserted in the middle, or sheets that are re-sorted, are a common reason a workflow appears to skip people.
Set up a sheet that adds subscribers
- Give the sheet a header row with one column per MailerLite field, and keep email in its own column.
- Add a status column, such as Approved, and use the New or Updated Spreadsheet Row trigger so only reviewed rows are sent.
- Map the columns in a Create or Update Subscriber action, then add the person to a group.
- Test with one row that uses your own address, and check the result in MailerLite.
If the people in the sheet came from a form, a native MailerLite signup form removes the spreadsheet and the connector from the path entirely.
Set up a sheet that logs subscriber activity
For a running log, use a subscriber trigger with Create Spreadsheet Row. For a sheet that should hold one row per person, use Lookup Spreadsheet Row followed by Update Spreadsheet Row, keyed on the email address. Without the lookup step every change appends a new row and the sheet stops being a list of people.
Keep the log in a sheet that only the right people can open. It will contain email addresses and, if you add the bounce and complaint triggers, deliverability history.
Limits to plan around
- There is no two-way sync. Two workflows that write to each other can loop, so give each field one owner.
- Existing rows are not sent when you switch a workflow on. Import them once through MailerLite's subscriber import.
- Connector plans count each action as a task. A busy sheet can use a monthly allowance quickly.
- Renaming or moving columns can break the mapping without any error in MailerLite.
For a database rather than a spreadsheet, see the Airtable guide. For the general pattern, see MailerLite and Zapier.
