MailerLite Airtable integration: how to connect the two and what syncs

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerThere is no native MailerLite to Airtable sync. You connect them through a third-party tool such as Zapier or Make, one direction per workflow.

Is there a native MailerLite Airtable integration?

No. MailerLite's own Airtable listing sends you to third-party connection platforms and names eight: Zapier, Make, Outfunnel, Appy Pie, Onlizer, Integrately, SyncSpider and LeadsBridge. You authorize the connector with a MailerLite API key and your Airtable account, then build the workflow inside the connector.

That matters for cost and reliability. The link between your base and your list lives in a third product with its own plan limits, task counts and error log. If a record never arrives, the place to look is the connector's run history, not MailerLite.

Which triggers and actions are available

Zapier's listing for the pair shows what each side can start and what each side can do. A workflow has one trigger and one or more actions, so each direction is a separate workflow.

MailerLite's listing describes the second direction: creating Airtable records from events such as sent campaigns and new or existing subscribers. Other connectors expose their own sets, so check the one you plan to use before you design around a trigger.

How to connect Airtable to MailerLite step by step

  1. In Airtable, create a view that contains only the records allowed to become subscribers, for example a checkbox field for consent that the view filters on.
  2. In the connector, choose the Airtable trigger on that view rather than the whole table.
  3. Add the MailerLite action Create or Update Subscriber and map the email field first, then name and any custom fields. Create the custom fields in MailerLite beforehand so they appear in the mapping list.
  4. Add a second action, Add Subscriber to Group, so new people land where your automation expects them.
  5. Run it with one test record you own and confirm the subscriber, the group and each field in MailerLite.

Use Create or Update rather than a plain create step. A person who is already on your list is then updated instead of failing or duplicating.

What does not sync automatically

  • Deletions. Removing an Airtable record does not unsubscribe anyone. Unsubscribing needs its own trigger and action.
  • Email changes. If the address changes in Airtable, the connector may create a second subscriber. Zapier lists a separate Change Subscriber Email action for this case.
  • Unsubscribes back to the base. A person who unsubscribes in MailerLite stays marked as active in Airtable unless you build the reverse workflow from the Subscriber Unsubscribed trigger.
  • History. A new workflow acts on new events. Existing rows usually need a one-time import instead.

If you only need a table of subscribers for reporting, a scheduled export may be simpler than a live connection. The Google Sheets guide covers the same choice for spreadsheets.

When this setup is worth it

It suits a team that already runs intake, applications or customer records in Airtable and wants approved people added to an email group without copying and pasting. It is a poor fit when the base is the only place consent is recorded and nobody owns the connector, because a silent failure means people are emailed late or not at all.

Before paying for a connector plan, count the records you expect each month and compare that with the plan's task allowance. Then read how to keep a Zapier workflow observable and the wider MailerLite integrations overview.
