Two ways to connect, and which one to use
MailerLite's Leadpages listing mentions only third-party platforms, Zapier and LeadsBridge. Leadpages' own help article, updated 24 April 2026, describes a direct connection through its automations feature. The direct route has fewer moving parts and no connector fee, so start there.

- In MailerLite, go to Integrations, then API, and generate a new token. You see the full token only once, so store it in a password manager.
- In Leadpages, open Assets, then Integrations, then Core, and choose MailerLite.
- Select Connect and paste the token.
- In your automation, choose MailerLite as the destination and pick a group.
- Map your form fields, then submit the form once with your own address.
Leadpages recommends allowing all IP addresses when you create the token, to avoid authorization errors.
Requirements and limits
| Point | What the article says |
|---|---|
| Form type | Works only with the custom forms widget, not the standard form widget. |
| Accounts | One MailerLite account per automation. |
| Actions | One action per automation: Add/Update Subscriber. |
| Groups | With a group selected, the contact appears in that group and in the main subscriber list. Without one, only in the main list. |
| Existing subscribers | Updated with the latest submission rather than duplicated. |
| Custom fields | Fields created in MailerLite appear for mapping in the automation. |
| Tags | Not supported. |
| Consent | A consent field can be passed if you create a matching custom field in MailerLite. |
The form-type rule is the one to check first. A page built with the standard form widget will not send anything to MailerLite until the form is rebuilt as a custom form.
Map consent and fields properly
Create the custom fields in MailerLite before you open the mapping step, including one for consent if your form asks for it. Then each lead arrives with the status they chose, and you can segment on it. Always choose a group, so a welcome automation has something to start from.
Do you need Leadpages at all?
MailerLite includes its own landing page builder and signup forms, which write to your list with no integration. Leadpages earns its place when you already have pages there or need its conversion tools. If you are paying for both only to collect emails, test whether MailerLite's own pages do the job.
